Ripley County Family Resource Center was established as a not-for-profit organization in March, 2002. In 2008, the agency adopted dba Ozark Family Resource Agency as an umbrella agency. The reason for the change was the agency’s expansion and the desire to be recognized as a regional provider of services.
Ozark Family Resource Agency (OFRA) strengthens individuals and families in crisis to promote self-sufficiency. This is achieved through the operation of a crisis shelter, child advocacy center, and an affordable housing program serving Butler, Carter, Ripley, Reynolds, Oregon, Shannon and Wayne counties in Missouri. OFRA does this work through a comprehensive services approach that enables families to use their strengths to re-establish positive family functioning.
The Ozark Family Resource Agency operates 3 major programs, the Child Advocacy Center, the Crisis Shelter; and the Affordable Housing program.
