Ozark Affordable Housing Program provides financial assistance to residents of Ripley County to prevent homelessness and assist homeless individuals and families to gain sufficient, affordable housing. Our program promotes self-sufficiency and aims to empower our clients with the knowledge and ability to have a stable, adequate, affordable home. We offer both preventative and re-housing services to our clients with an emphasis on budgeting and sustainability.
Ozark Affordable Housing Preventative Services include rental and utility assistance, budgeting advice, housing search and placement, housing inspections, life skill classes and case management. Our preventative services assist individuals and families who are at immediate risk of becoming homeless.
Ozark Affordable Housing Rapid Re-Housing Program provides financial assistance to pay rental and utility deposits, assists with housing search and placement, offers budgeting advice, life skill classes, housing inspections and case management services. This program is to re-house homeless individuals and families.
Ozark Affordable Housing Program also operates a 6 scattered site permanent housing program for homeless people with disabilities.
We have 2 transitional housing units that are available for our clients coming out of our crisis shelter. We have a 3rd unit that is currently in a renovation project so that it may be used for clients as they work toward self-sufficiency.
If you or someone you know is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, there are services available that can help. Please contact your local crisis shelter or housing advocacy group for more information.
